Jehovah Shammah

March 4, 2007

A fresh weekly encounter with God in His house anoints me with power and strength to continue living through school life, filled with mountainous work and treacherous morale. Every Friday to Saturday, the last day or two of the week, I would feel extremely exhausted and drained, confused and resigned, tired of doing anything nor nothing, completely dissatisfied with the past week, demoralised and in need of joy.

But it is the river of Joy that flows from His throne of Grace that keeps me going, week after week, without fail, and fills me with a sense of purpose and a hope.

For this, I can never fail to testify how great God is and how crucial it is to live focused on God.

Given the intensifying spiritual warfare within school, I’m placed in positions that test my faith. However, the devil can only distract but not single-handedly destroy. As such, I’m eternally grateful that for every trial and temptation, there is already a way out. It’s just whether you choose to take it or otherwise.

However, on the flip side, the fact that the devil is intensifying his attacks shows that something great, like a revival, is about to take place.

Now, keep the faith, stand steadfast and anchored to the rock of our salvation, we shall run the race with perseverance and prevail, and see God’s Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Amen.
